Domestic violence, or family violence, is violence or other abuse in a domestic setting, such as in marriage or cohabitation.

家庭暴力是指在婚姻或同居之类的家庭环境中出现的暴力或其它虐待行为。

Domestic violence includes not only physical injury but direct or indirect threats, sexual assault, emotional and psychological torment, economic control, damage to property, social isolation and any behavior which causes a person to live in fear.
