Biodefense refers to a set of medical or military measures that are taken in response to restoring biosecurity of a country against biological toxins or infectious agents that can be used with an intent to kill or infect humans, animals, or the environment and to instigate biological warfare.
生物防御是指采取一整套医学或军事措施，以应对能够用来杀害或感染人类、动物或环境，或挑起生物战的生物毒素或感染物，旨在恢复国家生物安全。
Biodefense is frequently discussed in the context of biowar or bioterrorism, and is generally considered a military or emergency response term.
人们经常在提及生物战或者生物恐怖主义时谈论生物防御。生物防御一般认为是涉及军事或应急响应的术语。
Biodefense uses medical measures to protect people against bioterrorism. This includes not only medicines and vaccinations, but also medical research and preparations to defend against bioterrorist attacks.
