12月中旬，我国多地遭遇今年持续时间最长(with the longest duration)、波及范围最广的雾霾天气。京津冀及周边地区(surrounding areas)共有27个城市发布红色预警(issue red alerts)，18个城市启动橙色预警(orange alert)，采取工业企业停产限产(suspend or limit production)、工地停工(shut down construction sites)、机动车限行(traffic restriction)等措施。
