潮汐车道 reversible lane
A reversible lane, or tidal flow lane, is a lane meant to improve traffic flow during rush hours by having overhead traffic lights and lighted street signs notify drivers which lanes are open or closed to driving or turning.
潮汐车道通过高架的红绿灯和点亮的街头标志来告知司机，哪条车道可以行使或转弯，而哪条车道则不可行。设立潮汐车道的目的是改善交通高峰期的车流状况。
Beijing’s first reversible lane has been put into use as part of efforts to ease worsening gridlock.
